Use the Force, Malo

note: these pictures are about 2 weeks old, Malo's much bigger now and he's been playing football in the park.

This orange rabbit and blue whale have been taunting Malo for a few weeks.
He's trying to use the force to move them, but not being very successful.
Same thing with these wooden bears attached to his chair. Perhaps if he stares long enough, they will just twirl on their own...
Sometimes, Malo just sleeps...

Making faces

For the last 10 days, roughly, Malo's been smiling consistently at people. He also likes to smile at his mobile, and sometimes at things that might only be present in his mind. He's figured out that smile=encouragement, as he smiles as soon as you remove his diaper...

I decided to take some photos, as he was lying on the sofa next to me. He thought it was pretty funny.
He likes to stick out his tongue.
And then, sometimes, he makes the most random and funny faces...

Easter in Brittany

Once again, the Easter Bunny found Lucie in Brittany. He had too much stuff to carry and couldn't bring enough baskets. So, Lucie gathered her eggs in a paper bag.
It was unseasonably warm and everyone wore hats
Even little Malo.
Malo switched hats when it got chillier in the evening.
There was playing with friends on the beach.
And sitting in the shade.

Being a parent is an extraordinary privilege. We love and enjoy our children very much. That said, we're totally exhausted. Generally, we censor the photos we post, but here are a few that show more accurately what we look like and how we're feeling.



We're also happy to report that Malo (and as a result all the rest of us too) has been sleeping much better lately. Malo is only awaking once a night and sleeps from 9pm to 3 or 4am and then until 7 or 8am. Pretty good for only 2 months old!

Down at the Tuileries

On a beautiful spring day, Pop-pop, Lucie, and Papa all went down to the Tuileries.


Lucie asked for this specific picture to be taken. She posed as she wanted.

Pop-pop did his best "donkey man" impersonation.
Lucie didn't have time to wait.
By chance, we ran into Lou and her parents. They live in our neighborhood.
She and Lucie ran around the park for a while.
We eventually met up with Charles and his father.

He and Lucie had a bounce on the trampolines.
