On another day, we headed out of Toulouse to the Gers, visiting a few cute villages along the way. All were built as trading towns in the late middle ages/early renaissance with a similar grid street pattern (somewhat rare in France) with a market square (as below) in the center.
This is foie gras country, boys, so I wouldn't look so proud if I were you...
Malo peering in amazement at some candles in a church (chaud! he screams).
 Lucie walking Polux, Armelle's dog.
Olivier did his share of Malo-carrying.
Polux did his share of stroller-pulling.
 A half-timbered house in Auch.
A family portrait, with Malo screaming.

Toulouse

We headed to Toulouse where we hung out at Armelle and Olivier's place for a few days. They took us on a whirlwind tour of the city. For Lucie, it was really really really hard...
But she had a good time hanging out with Olivier.
And plenty of energy to goof off.
Malo thought it was funny, as long as he had his goldfish.

Armelle showing Lucie and thing or two.
Small streets are safe to walk in, apparently. In any case, the sidewalks are occupied by barriers meant to keep cars from parking there, leaving no room for pedestrians...
Olivier practicing for a few years from now.

 Cute, isn't he?
She knows how to make an entrance.
 Chasing Malo around a tree.
 Think again.
Lucie also wanted to take a pose
 or two
 or more...

Back in A&O's garden, she walked around telling herself stories.

Meanwhile, Malo played with 'pig' (the iPad) on the couch.

A cave : the Grotte de Lacave

We went on vacation to the south of France and on the way stopped to visit the 'Grotte de Lacave' where we saw some pretty cool rock formations.

We managed to have a picture of the family taken as well.

But the best part for Malo was definitely taking the train in and out.

Easter Bunny

Ok, so these have been trying times for our beloved blog.
We're going to do our best to catch up, and so here are some photos from Easter.
The bunny visited our home (or was it the bells) and had the good sense to leave stuff inside the house. Because Lucie can now read her name, he decided to make his instructions explicit...

Here candy candy candy, Heeeeere candy candy candy...
This stuff is so heavy I have to stuff my face to get some energy to go on...
 That rabbit sure is tricky
But he does leave a good hoard.
