Greg sings to Lucie in French and she loves it. Les Petites Marionnettes is one of her favorites.
Lucie is also really fond of sitting.

Lucie watch, part 92938290332212393
Last night, Michele and Lucie had a talk...
Michele: "Lucie, you know, that rabbit's just trying to get in bed with you. He's never going to give you anything in return for all those hugs you give him. They're all like that, trust me..."
Lucie: "Mom, you are soooo clueless. I'm just in it for the booze."
This is what happens when babies drink too much beer...

Well, not quite, it's just green peas from the market.
Gimme some more of that stuff!
Keep it coming!
After dinner, Lucie likes to cuddle up with the New Yorker
She just devours it.
The last big news: Lucie's learned to sit. And it's a blast!

The carrot affair
As Lucie reaches the 1/2 year mark (that's right people, 0.5 year!), she's learning a few things. one of which is how to handle a spoon.
or use it for karaoke
Michele tried to feed Lucie some carrot with said spoon.
but she was much more interested in a more hands-on approach (bowl courtesy of Marne and Todd in NYC).
Lucie kept trying to grab the spoon out of Michele's hand. Overall, this first meal was a success, as she ended up keeping about 70% of the food down.
She also had a piece of bread (isn't she a good French girl).
A friend of Aunt Morgane gave Lucie a nice sweater

Lucie Phone Home
For the second week in a row, I find myself in Morocco for work. This time I took my camera and so I can still post pictures of the worldwide star.
Lucie, like her mother, is quite the reader.
She likes to call her father on the telephone. Sounds a bit like water sloshing around.
But she's so utterly kissable that it's hard to resist or complain.

Good Morning Greg!
Greg is traveling this week for work. It's the first time he's traveled since Lucie was born. He always gets Lucie up and changes her diaper in the morning. So, I know he is going to really be missing her when he gets up tomorrow. Here are some super cute photos of Lucie from this past weekend to hopefully make him smile and not miss us too much!

Sunday in the Park
The park one street away from our apartment was just renovated and reopened this past week. It was a sad little park before, but it is really nice now, all new swings, sandboxes, and jungle gyms. Lucie is too little to play there, but we checked it out anyway.
Greg looking like such a proper Parisian dad.

We transformed the Bugaboo this weekend. Lucie used to recline in the bassinet, but now she sits up. She's much happier being able to look around.

Grand Pere visits
Lucie's grandfather came for a visit on his way to China, and so she went out and got him a baguette for lunch. After all, we're all French here (except for Michele, but we pretend that she's ok).
After lunch, Lucie and Grand Pere played.

He even got down to play with her on her play mat.
She thought he was pretty funny (or was it the camera?)
And of course, she got kisses galore.
She wasn't happy when he had to leave to catch his plane....
