Big sister and little brother

For the most part, Lucie is really happy to be a big sister.
Lucie and Malo even wear their matching PJs.

Malo's day

Here's what he usually does... He eats, has a good burp, and sleeps.

And sleeps.
And sleeps some more, notice not very often in his bed.
And very, very occasionally he will open his eyes and looks around.

Lots of visits

We've had lots of visitors lately. Malo's Great Aunt Sabine came to meet him.
Along with his Great Grandmother.

Our friend Vanessa who lives in Antwerp even made time to stop by while she was in Paris for a few days.
Greg's cousin Isabelle also came over with her husband and daughter.
Of course Lucie wanted to know what's the big deal. It's only a baby!

Lucie eats an éclair

On a recent visit to her grandparents', Lucie ate an éclair.

Pakka said: "you've got chocolate mustaches!"

Lucie: "really?"

Getting to know him

Lucie giving George (a.k.a. Malo) a morning hug. Most of the time, Lucie still calls her little brother George. While it works for us, it can be a little confusing for others.

Malo meeting "Monsieur Bertrand." When Lucie was little she called him this as opposed to her uncle Bertrand. It made us laugh and we still use it to explain to her which Bertrand is coming to visit.

Lucie's one liners

Lucie's our new in-house comic. She'll say, "I'm going to tell you a joke!" Here are some of her favorite one-liners she follows this with:
1) "You have a crab on your head"
2) "It's raining outside"
3) "There is a wolf behind you"

Announcing: Malo Edgar George!

On March 1st, Malo was born at 8:19am. He is 3.63kg (8lbs) and 50.5 cm. While this page has been mostly the Lucie show for the last 3.5 years, a new cast member has been added, and he'll be featured just as prominently! Malo is a breton name that Michele and I liked very much, while Edgar was Michele's beloved grandfather (who I also was priviledged to know) and George is the name that Lucie had chosen for her "baby" during the pregnancy - it also happens to be Michele's great-grandfather and one of my fondly remembered Russian uncles.

Malo's already got that French fashion sense, with his awesome orange velour PJs.


Malo's Dadouh and Pakka showed up right away to meet him.

Lucie wanted to hold him as well.
